On My Lips: Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Vintage Pink

Monday, 26 January 2015

I never intended to try anything from Rimmel's Moisture Renew line. I have a few of their Kate Moss lipsticks and I like them all. I saw this at Target when I visited Perth and thought I would find a shade that's interesting and try it out. It's safe to say I regret not buying more!

When I first saw this, even without swatching it on my hand I knew it was the one. It's a mauve lipstick with a hint of pink and when I first tried it I was like, "This is MY colour", that happens, right?! This is an everyday colour for me, although I do need to experiment to find the eye look to match this lipstick.  Vintage Pink is the perfect name. The shade is unique, which is why IMO it's not everybody's-- Indonesian girls' cup of tea. It glides on your lips like butter, creamy, and applies evenly. I give an 'A' for the formula! Rimmel lipsticks are great. It's hydrating and has the right amount of sheen. You definitely need to reapply after eating, but otherwise it's long lasting.

I want to introduce local girls to more unusual lipstick shades that's why I write about this particular colour. GO AND EXPERIMENT, GUYS! Everyone I know always wear nude lip with peach undertones, I want to encourage them to be brave and try more lipsticks! :D

I paired it with:
♥ Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette - Factory all over the lid and Trick in the center
♥ Benefit Rockateur blush

Much love.
