Operation Express Yourself 2015: Marsala

Friday, 2 January 2015

Happy New Year guys! How did you spend your new year's eve? I stayed at home with my fiance and he ended up falling asleep... It happens every year! Haha. So in the spirit of the new year, exciting beginnings and all that jazz, I decided that I wanted to challenge myself to post as often as possible, hoping that I can express myself more. I want to further explore my artistry and just become crazy creative with what I do. 2014 was a very chilled year for me, I thought a lot about life and what I want to be. 2015 is GAME ON!

This being said, today I went for Pantone's color of the year inspired look. Marsala. Of course Marsala has a much warmer, earthier tone to it, but I made use of what I have. I extended the eyeshadow out so this is not a very wearable look, but I would totally wear this kind of make up out. People will stare at me but so what. All the eyeshadows I used are from Sari Ayu--a local brand under Martha Tilaar. They are very pigmented and blendable, but they stain your brushes, so beware! Some of my Sigma brushes are living proof of my ignorance haha. Needless to say, I am obsessed with this look! Eventhough it's still very simple and I definitely need to be more creative. By the end of 2015, I will look back and see how much I will have grown.

Also, if you happen to be a photographer, stylist, designer or whatever and you need someone to do your make up for photo shoots this month until March, I'm up for it. Free of charge. I graduated from a make up school with the highest overall score in my class for the international exam (I just realised this haha) and I need to practice, put my skills up to work! Much love.
