New Favourite: Clinique Cheek Pop in Berry Pop

Monday, 25 May 2015

Just look at it. Isn't it just the most beautiful thing ever? The embossed gerbera daisy motif under the see through packaging catches the attention of any girl who likes pretty things. What's better is that it's not just pretty to look at, it actually does all the things it's claimed to do... Let's take a more in depth look at this beautiful Clinique Cheek Pop blusher.

On Clinique's official website, it says it's a "Vibrant yet natural-looking cheek colour that looks virtually powderless. In a silky smooth, stay-true formula with shades for every skin tone. That just-pinched look, simply effortless", it sounds great, right? After trying this out for a couple of weeks I can say they are all true! I find the formula to be quite unique because it's almost creamy and so silky to the touch. It is not powdery at all despite being a powder blush. It is packed with pigment but when applied to the cheek it looks natural and it is made to be buildable if you like the look of a lot of blusher kind of gal. On the pan it looks like it's matte but upon closer inspection it has tiny, finely milled specks of sparkle that give you such a pretty, luminous sheen. The only downside to this product is that it can apply blotchy on the cheek, so you need to use more product to fill in the 'holes', but it's not a little blending can't fix. Overall I really like this product and I look forward to buying more.

I bought this particular shade because I'm in a 'berries and pinks' shade but also because I know this shade will instantly brighten my complexion plus it's a shade that looks modern and edgy. It's definitely not a blush that's suitable for every look as I think it looks best with a very natural, almost bare eyes to keep it modern. It's not a problem since I have other blushers to wear with a smokey eye!

Let's move on to this Clinique Cheek Pop in Berry Pop swatch!
