May Favourites

Wednesday, 10 June 2015

Hi! How are you guys? This post is a week late I'm so sorry! But let's get on to it! Here are my May 2015 beauty favourites...

Lord knows I don't wear eyeliner. But when I do, lately I've been exclusively wearing Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink. I love it because it's matte, creamy, and seriously long lasting. I don't like glossy eyeliner because it will draw attention to my lash line, my hooded, downturned eyelids don't need that attention.
I have the most oily eyelids but I haven't seen anything transfering so far. If you are looking for a jet black, blackest black eyeliner this is not for you though... I suck at applying eyeliner on myself and I never like the look of winged liner on me, so I usually just apply a very thin line along the lash line for definition.

Blusher of the month is (surprise, surprise) Clinique Cheek Pop in Berry Pop (review here), I bought Peach Pop a while ago because I love this one so much. Another blusher(s) I've been loving is the Sleek Blush by 3 palette in Californ.I.A. This palette is a gift from my sister who went to London last month. I would never pick this blush by myself because they are all cream blushes! And they are super dewy, luminous cream blushes, unlike the Revlon ones which are more cream-to-powder in texture. I haven't had great experience with creamy cream blushes but oh I'm so glad my sister gave this to me! I have to admit I haven't put this on myself (is this cheating?) but I have been using this on models in every single photoshoot I had in the past month. I love the shade on the right called OC. These are beauuuuutiful for photoshoots! They are packed with pigments (as how it is with other Sleek blushes) It makes the skin look healthy which is what I always go for. They are very affordable as well.

The eyeshadow I have been using A LOT is this Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes in Fuller Fudge. It's a very quick product to apply you can definitely bring this on the go! Fuller fudge is a very pretty bronzy brown with sparkles (I suck at describing colours!) and you can build up the opacity. I just apply this all over my primed eyelid and then blend with a blender brush. This lasts a whole day with no creasing. The only downside to this product is it sets pretty quickly, so I would recommend you to finish blending this on one eye before you apply this on the other eyelid.

So I bought Zoeva Luxe Complete Set from Luxola Indonesia before I need a new set of brush (have I told you Luxola ID has amazing service? The product arrived on time. This is not a paid post!), and I have been trying out some of the brushes. They are very cost efficient because they have high quality brushes! Some of the brushes (how they are shaped) are new to me. They have soft bristles and very well cut. I have been using these two the most, which are Zoeva 227 Luxe Soft Definer to blend the edges of my eyeshadow (the chubby stick) and Zoeva 101 Luxe Face Definer for powder and bronzer. I have been looking for a big tapered brush like the 101 Luxe Face Definer and this does not disappoint. While everyone says 227 Luxe Soft Definer can be a dupe to MAC 217, to me this brush is significantly more flat and less fluffy than its more popular rival.

What products have you been loving last month?

Much love,
x
