MOTD: Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk

Monday, 29 June 2015

Seeing as this makeup isn't my usual neutral-toned shadow and 3CE Water Gloss in Vivatic on the lips, I thought I'm going to show you the makeup I wore today! Hopefully this will help you who are looking for a 'different' everyday makeup but still simple, appropriate and not over the top.

Excuse my low quality selfie (Samsung front cameras aren't the best!) but my better camera does not pick up the colour the way I wanted it to! The star of the look would be my old favourite Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk which is a beautiful deep burgundy-wine-purpley shade. Mine is drying up so sadly I need to toss it away soon. If you are bored with the usual browns give this one a go! It's so pretty and modern trust me.

After I apply my moisturizer I stippled my Clinique Even Better foundation all over my face using my Real Techniques sponge. I concealed my under eye and everywhere else that needed extra coverage using Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer. I primed my eye using NARS Pro Prime Smudge Proof eyeshadow base and while waiting for it to set I filled in my brows using MAC Spiked twist-up eyebrow pencil. Then I applied Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk all over the lid concentrating on the outer corner + under the eye, added Tarte Force of Nature eyeshadow from Tartelette palette on the crease and a little bit of Best Friend under the eye. My inner corner highlight was Urban Decay Sin. On my lashes was Helena Rubinstein Lash Queen Sexy Blacks waterproof mascara. I used Fawn from Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit to add colour on the perimeter of my face (useless since it's covered with my headscarf anyway lol) and highlighted using the shimmery shade. Of course I use my Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Dazzled as a blush and on the lips it's Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in Penelope Pink.

OMG that's a lot of product. This is what I prefer so feel free to customize based on what you need! I really love what I came up with so hopefully this helps!

Much love, x
