October Favourites 2015

Narrowing down favourites for this month is not as difficult as usual because I have been using the same makeup multiple times. You might have seen me talk about some of the products because some of them are old favourites I re-discovered this month, but I still want to talk about them to show that some favourites don't change! Haha. So here it goes...

Chanel Illusion D'Ombre in Mirage is pretty much the only eyeshadow I have been wearing this month, some days I wore something else but mostly it's this one. It's not metallic, just a shimmery golden bronze shade. It's not super pigmented, just a wash of colour that's great for a fresh makeup look. You can layer it up if you want. I like to apply and blend this using my finger. It's that easy.

Dior Rosy Glow in 001 Petal deserves all the hype, guys. Everytime I walk past a Dior counter I used to always swatch this on my hand, but in the end could not see anything special. It's the type of blush that you have to put on your cheeks to see the actual effect. It's handsdown the best pink blush I have ever tried. It's up there with my NARS Angelika. On me, it's a light leaning to medium bright cool toned pink. This blush has a technology that lets it turn into a pink that adapts to your skintone. I'm not intimidated by how bright it looks on the pan, but if you are one to be intimidated by bright blushes, don't freak out! Try it on your cheeks first before you make up your mind ;)

Morphe Brush in S94 was a brush that I bought on a whim and I did not expect to like it as much as I do. It's the only brush I use for foundation ever since I got it. I have been wanting a brush like this for so long but I don't want Sigma F80 because it looks too dense and too heavy for my liking. This has the perfect density as it's still a little fluffy for a flat top brush. It gives a demi matte, full coverage finish to your makeup look. I find it really quick to achieve a flawless base when I use this brush.

Makeup Forever HD Foundation in 120 has been my foundation of choice this month. This foundation has a buildable coverage but even when you build it up to medium-full coverage it can still look like skin. I feel like this foundation lets my skin breathe. It's also quite lightweight.

The Body Shop Honey Comb Bronze in 02 is the perfect everyday bronzer. It's not too pigmented so you don't have to worry about looking like an oompa loompa. It's also got a nice warm neutral tone, not orange at all. I apply this all over my face using my fluffy, big powder brush. I am trying to hit pan with this one, that's why I have been using it non-stop.

Dior Addict Lip Glow never leaves my hand bag this entire month. It's a fuss free light pink lip balm, that has a similar technology with the Rosy Glow--it will adapt to the pH of your lips. Sometimes I wear another lipstick and then mid day I just touch up using this balm.

 Much love,
