Makeup On Rotation #1

Thursday, 31 December 2015

Hi guys how are you? First of all, we moved! Second of all, I am really trying to get back on blogging and Instagram but I always, always have something to do and haven't found the right rhythm yet. Wish me luck!

In this post, I am starting a new series called makeup on rotation, where I will show you makeup I have on my vanity on that week. I hope to change the makeup I'm using weekly to motivate myself to use everything I have in my collection. So, this is a set of makeup I currently have on  display...

As you can see I have one of everything except for the lips. I forgot to include my primer but the one I'm currently using is Benefit Porefessional. My pores are acting up and it's my best friend at the moment. My base products of choice are Too Faced Born This Way foundation in Vanilla because it provides a medium to full coverage just the way I like it and it has a natural finish. You can thin it down by applying just a little bit of course. The concealer is Rimmel London Wake Me Up which is an old favourite and my under eye has been extremely dry lately and I find this one works better than Maybelline Age Rewind. To give my combination skin a little more matte finish I use Rimmel London Stay Matte powder, not the best one out there but it works.

For my eyes I never go without my NARS Pro Prime so expect it to be in every single post of this series. I have been loving the Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow quad in The Fallen Angel which I'm not sure if you can still get, but this one is worth every penny! First, it's so beautifully packaged and second the eyeshadows have a beautiful glowy--a tiny bit wet looking and metallic which makes a glamorous look. My favourite shades are the top right and bottom left, those two are my ride or die at the moment. I also have my Chanel Illusion D'Ombre in Mirage on display because it is such a quick product and the colour suits my skintone really well that it goes with everything. It's definitely one of my favourite eyeshadows ever. For mascara I have the Maybelline Lash Sensational that is great for separating the lashes and lengthen them. Two products I have been using for my eyebrows are My Beauty Story eyebrow pencil which I have been enjoying because the nib is small and the spoolie on the other end is a good one. I then set my brows using L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper which is the best thing in the world, on natural makeup days I brush my brows with this alone and that's it. To give colour and glow to my face I basically use everything in the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit  palette. Despite the insane price tag for someone like me who's never tried everything from Hourglass this product is excellent to try out a bunch of products plus it's great for traveling. The products inside are so so beautiful. The ones I use the most is Dim Light as a finishing powder, the pink blush in the middle and the bronzer. These ambient lighting powders keep my skin looking like a million dollar all day long. For the lips I have the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk which is as beautiful as people make it up to be, also the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in Penelope Pink, and the new H&M Gossamer Lip Stain in Centre of Attention so I have a little bit of everything and have options. I never forget to spray my face with a finishing spray, this time it's Urban Decay De Slick which is a staple and I always have a bottle in my collection.

Much love.
